I believe traditions tell the stories our hears never forget. I am Erica Bruton, "The Nail of Noel is my way of keeping the true meaning of Christmas- Christ's Love shining gently in homes year after year. The Nail of Noel was born from a deep longing for families to not just remember Christmas, but to feel its miracle-to hold it in their hands, carry it in their hearts, and let it settle into their homes.... one verse at a time, one tender movement of the nail, one savior who came down in love.

“In her unexpected presence, Christ found room to reshape our hearts and the family we would one day recognize as His work.”
When I was seven years old, God placed a fourteen-year-old girl named Tanya into our family. My parents opened the door, and suddenly she was there — scared, brave, older than me, and carrying a story I couldn’t yet understand. But that day, without ceremony or warning, she became my sister.
I didn’t know then that God was handing me a gift. At seven, you don’t recognize miracles when they walk through your front door. You don’t realize that someone arriving as a stranger will one day become your safe place, your steady anchor, your inspiration. You just know your world shifted… and somehow, it felt right.
As I grew, I watched my parents welcome her with the kind of love that doesn’t make sense unless you know Jesus. A love that chooses, gathers, and repairs. A love that looks like grace with skin on. And through Tanya, I learned that family isn’t bound by birth — it’s bound by God’s hand and God’s timing.
This book carries that truth inside it. Because long before I was an adult writing stories about faith and redemption, God had already written one into my own life. And when I was seven, He wrote her name — Tanya — as the gift I didn’t know would become my inspiration.
